AI summary

EuroCycle, Nevada's premium European motorcycle dealer group, spent years chasing what dealer principal Chris Clovis calls the holy grail: a fully online vehicle transaction with taxes, title, registration, financing, fraud and insurance all handled. His own developers concluded it couldn't be built at dealership scale, and billion-dollar platforms failed trying. Ekho shipped it, and the first order landed within minutes of going live. Since the February soft launch EuroCycle has placed more than $1M in order volume, gone from roughly one online sale a month to about one a day, and watched F&I attach rise rather than fall, with buyers rating the experience 9 out of 10. All of it from under a third of the inventory enabled for Buy Now.

"That's why I committed so heavily to Ekho... Look at the dominant position Carvana has had. Their market share position will just grow kind of indefinitely, so their competitors have two options. That's it. It's either adapt or die. I chose to adapt."

About EuroCycle

EuroCycle is a premium European motorcycle dealer group with four stores across Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada — BMW, Ducati, Triumph, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Vespa, Royal Enfield, LiveWire, and more — with a reputation for world-class customer experience.

Dealer principal Chris Clovis has spent 36 years in the motorcycle industry: the dealership floor, the corporate side as a regional manager for manufacturers, a decade in dealer tech selling digital retailing and advertising solutions back to the dealer network at digital-marketplace platforms including Dominion and Cars.com, and a run as vice president of the world's largest motorcycle fleet and rental operation — with a monthly operations column in Powersports Business along the way. When he and his partner founded EuroCycle ten years ago, the plan was explicit: technology-first, digital-first.

"We wanted to arrive before our competitors — and meet the customers where they're going to be now and in the years to come."
Chris Clovis

It worked. EuroCycle grew from 140 motorcycles a year to roughly 2,000 within 48 months, and by 2019 was selling nearly half its vehicles sight-unseen over the internet to out-of-state buyers — with processes the team had to invent themselves.

The Challenge — chasing the holy grail

Chris's benchmark was never other dealerships.

"The customers want the same thing that you and I want — open up their phone, see a picture, see a price, push a button, and it shows up at their doorstep."
Chris Clovis
Chris ClovisDealer Principal at EuroCycle Dealer Group

Everything short of that was friction.

Getting close meant assembling what Chris calls a tech stack "that resembled more of a Jenga tower" — disparate third-party tools cobbled together with software EuroCycle built itself. And every remote deal still ran on manual processes: tax estimates based on stale DMS data, shipping quotes from a third party, keying in titling forms produced via state portals, eyeballing fraud signals, and referencing their own set of registration rules across 50 states and hundreds of counties — each with its own conditional logic around which documents to include and submission deadlines — that went stale as rules changed over time.

The last mile — a fully online transaction, with taxes, title, registration, financing, fraud, insurance, accessories, and warranties all handled — never arrived. In 2018, Chris asked his own developer to build it; six months of analysis later, the answer came back: it can't be done at dealership scale. Some of the largest technology companies in automotive attempted the same thing and failed — they ended up building what the industry has gone on to describe as digital retail, but what is ultimately glorified lead capture that goes as far as getting a credit application into lender systems and stops there. Carvana proved buyers would purchase vehicles fully online at massive scale — and its regulatory battles proved just how brutal the 50-state compliance problem is. "I never stopped chasing that holy grail."

And a national audience shops on its own clock. A rider browsing at 11pm can't call the store — and by morning, they may have bought elsewhere. Serving buyers across the country meant every after-hours question left unanswered was a deal at risk.

The Solution — Ekho's Transaction Engine + AI Sales Agent

At an AIM Expo, a friend introduced Chris to Ekho's founders.

"They were laser-focused on solving one problem. But this one problem is the holy grail."

His response on the spot: "What's it going to take to make me your guinea pig?" Ninety days of integration later, EuroCycle went live with Ekho's transaction engine — a full online checkout with financing, signature collection, taxes, fraud detection, ID and insurance verification, and 50-state title and registration built in.

Buy now, not "inquire now"

A rider anywhere in the country can go from vehicle page to completed purchase — payment or financing, signed documents, correct taxes and fees for their state — without a phone call.

Everything the transaction actually requires

"Fully online" only counts if every step a deal needs is handled — the steps that made Chris's team stitch deals together by hand for years:

  • Tax calculation, collection, and remittance — computed for the buyer's home state and county, collected in checkout
  • Every signature variant — e-signatures, wet signatures, power of attorney, VIN verifications, and notarization when forms require it
  • Fraud detection — 1,000+ behavioral and identity signals captured from first click to checkout, risk scored in real time, with manual verification required when anything looks off
  • Identity verification — KYC on every remote buyer before a deal advances, with real-time validation powered by machine learning
  • Insurance verification — confirmed against lienholder policy minimums and state-specific requirements, in real time during checkout, before the vehicle ships
  • Financing and desking — compliant credit application collection and submission to the dealer's lenders, relaying of lender decisions, and collection and verification of lender stipulations, all inside the same flow
  • F&I and aftermarket upsells — extended warranties, GAP, tire-and-wheel presented at the right moment in checkout, intelligently bundled to maximize the advance on the offer without increasing the down payment
  • 50-state title and registration — form generation, signature collection, and DMV submission handled by Ekho with real-time visibility for the dealer, on the correct permutation of interstate paperwork that once made out-of-state deals slow and manual

Making "buy it online" unmissable

EuroCycle pairs its inventory with direct calls to action — listings that tell riders they can buy the bike online, no salesperson required. High-intent buyers who once faced a phone queue now convert on the spot.

Worth holding onto while reading the numbers that follow: only a slice of the floor has ever carried that button. About 15% of units were enabled for Buy Now at the soft launch and roughly 30% are today, so every result here comes from under a third of the inventory. The ceiling on this channel has never been demand. It has been how much of the catalog was switched on.

An always-on AI sales team

When Ekho brought Chris its AI Sales Agent, he was, in his own words, the first skeptic in the room.

"My skepticism was about a 9 out of 10."
Chris Clovis
Chris ClovisDealer Principal at EuroCycle Dealer Group

After fifteen years of dealership chatbots, he had read too many transcripts of customers begging to talk to a human.

What changed his mind was how the agent behaves. It's trained on EuroCycle's actual inventory, their playbooks, and the mechanics of a real vehicle transaction — financing, trade-ins, shipping, taxes by state — and it works a conversation the way a good salesperson does.

"It grabs a hold of the customer and doesn't let go. It answers their questions step by step, and it's steering them toward a solution the same way a great salesperson would."
Chris Clovis
Chris ClovisDealer Principal at EuroCycle Dealer Group

After reading dozens of transcripts, his verdict:

"Not one time has the Ekho AI frustrated the customer."
Chris Clovis
Chris ClovisDealer Principal at EuroCycle Dealer Group

It even paid for itself on day one — EuroCycle canceled the third-party chatbot subscription it replaced.

It also sits where the shopping happens. A rider who opens the agent from an inventory page gets answers grounded in live stock across both markets: real units, with real photos and real prices, and a question back to narrow things down. Asked for the fastest bike on the lot, the agent names a specific machine in Reno and an alternative in Las Vegas, then asks which store is closer so it can pull the local detail.

The agent in action

Two real conversations from EuroCycle's website, shortly after launch (names and numbers changed) — click through them as the buyer saw them. The first: a Bay Area rider asking about financing on a Saturday evening, booked into a Monday-morning finance call before the store ever opened. The second: a California buyer asking a question most chatbots would fumble — whether a Reno unit is 50-state emissions compliant — answered with a physical label verification, the kind of compliance detail that decides whether an interstate deal happens at all.

Putting it on camera

Ekho and EuroCycle now make marketing content together. Ekho generates the clips with AI and hands them over finished, so EuroCycle can post them to their own channels without a production budget. The first one they shared drew roughly 4,000 views on Instagram Reels, and the format has explained online buying to their audience faster than a spec sheet ever did.

Going all in on the storefront

The soft launch answered the question EuroCycle had been asking since 2018: riders really will complete an entire vehicle purchase online, and they will do it on a dealership's own website. Once the orders started landing, Chris and his team stopped treating online checkout as a feature tucked into a corner of the site. They rebuilt the brand around it and relaunched site-wide, with Ekho powering the storefront end to end.

The homepage now leads with the promise instead of burying it. A rider arriving from anywhere in the country is told immediately what is on offer: buy the bike online, with purchasing, financing, titling, registration and shipping all handled, delivered to the door. Next to it sits a shop-by-payment entry point for the buyers who start from a monthly budget rather than a model name.

EuroCycle's homepage leads with the online purchase rather than a lead form.

That was a branding decision as much as a technology one. Most riders have never bought a vehicle online, and they need to learn three things before they will try: that it is possible, that it is legitimate, and that nothing is being skipped. So EuroCycle built the education into the site rather than leaving it to a salesperson to deliver on a phone call. A four-step walkthrough spells out what happens between placing an order and taking delivery. Riders who have already bought this way tell the story in their own words. Shipping, titling and financing each get plain-language explanations before anyone is asked for an email address.

The rollout was deliberately staged. At the February soft launch, roughly 15% of EuroCycle's units carried a Buy Now path, and nothing else changed: the website was untouched and the marketing ran as it always had. That was the control. Once the orders came in anyway, EuroCycle doubled the enabled inventory to about 30% and put the brand behind it, and the sales curve turned up.

Neither number is the destination. Every unit EuroCycle can sell online is a unit a rider anywhere in the country can buy at 11pm, and the ambition is to get there across the whole catalog. Each increment is a larger share of the floor open to a national audience rather than to whoever walks in.

Search results page (SRP) built for a national audience

Behind the homepage, EuroCycle's inventory search runs on Ekho: every unit across the Las Vegas and Reno stores in one catalog, priced for the rider looking at it rather than for a walk-in.

  • Localized to the buyer - filters riders actually use, plus distance, a real shipping estimate and a monthly payment on terms available to them
  • Embedded pre-qualification - a soft-pull check on the results page, with zero effect on the rider's credit
  • Compliant and findable - required disclaimers on every listing without anyone maintaining them by hand, on pages built for search engines and AI assistants alike

Vehicle detail pages (VDPs) that answer the whole question

The VDP is where a remote buyer either commits or leaves, so it closes out every open question in one view instead of sending the rider back to a phone call.

  • Cost, not just price - online availability, shipping, the payment methods on that unit, and the taxes and registration fees the rider should expect in their own state
  • F&I introduced in context - extended coverage, GAP and tire-and-wheel explained in plain language while the rider is still shopping, not sprung as a checkout upsell
  • Somewhere to go next - pre-qualification in the payment panel, and similar units below the fold

One button to checkout

When a rider is ready, "Buy now" opens a checkout that still looks and reads like EuroCycle. The unit, its VIN and an estimated delivery date sit at the top. Financing, card and bank payment all appear as options on the same page. The order summary is explicit about what is and is not yet included, down to a due-today figure. It is the same flow whether the buyer is 22 minutes from the store or 2,400 miles away.

The Results

EuroCycle launched in the first quarter of 2026 and saw impressions, conversions, and traditional leads all rise immediately. The first order came in within minutes of going live — and the early buyers weren't who anyone predicted. One of the first completed purchases wasn't a one-of-a-kind used bike shipped across the country, but a brand-new motorcycle at full retail, bought by a local rider who lived 22 minutes from the store and had never set foot in it.

"He could have driven over and kicked tires. He didn't — because he doesn't have to. He's a modern consumer, and he shouldn't have to."
Chris Clovis

  • From one online sale a month to about one a day — the pace climbed every month after site-wide launch. Counting the riders who start online and finish in-store, Chris puts total Ekho-driven retail at "more than one a day"
"One motorcycle a month, to one a week, to about one a day."
  • The F&I myth, busted. The internal fear was that no human touchpoint meant no back-end gross. The opposite happened: F&I attach came in higher than on in-store deals, with more penetration on finance products and accessories and less pushback on fees. "Customers are more open to saying yes to a computer than to a human."
  • Buyers love it. EuroCycle buyers rate the online purchase experience 9 out of 10 on average in post-purchase surveys
  • Better for every buyer, not just digital ones. The platform was built for the fully online buyer, but it lifted the experience for phone, email, and walk-in customers too — "it's solving problems it wasn't even designed to solve"
  • A national sales channel without added headcount — and no 2am shift: after-hours coverage without an outsourced call center

From Here

Chris expects the partnership to keep dismantling the Jenga tower: Ekho progressively absorbing more and more of EuroCycle's technology stack — each replaced subscription making the platform "essentially free." He believes digital transactions will reach the dominant share of vehicle sales, the way they eventually do in every category.

The nearer goal is coverage. Buy Now went from roughly 15% of the inventory at soft launch to about 30% today, and the target is the entire catalog: every unit, every rooftop, buyable online. That matters because the curve so far was drawn by a minority of the floor. If under a third of the inventory produced this, the honest expectation is that the channel keeps climbing as the share switched on approaches everything, and EuroCycle is doubling down accordingly.

The endpoint Chris describes is not a dealership with a good website. It is a nationwide digital retailer at its core that also happens to operate four stores, where the online channel is the default rather than the alternative.

The same engine is meant to run the showroom too. With more configurability, the flow a rider uses at home becomes the flow a salesperson runs beside them on a touchscreen or an iPad on the floor: the same pricing, the same F&I menu, the same compliant paperwork, the same tax and titling logic, whoever is holding the screen. One system behind every sale, so the experience is consistent and the deal is never rebuilt by hand because the buyer walked in instead of clicking. That is the version of EuroCycle Chris is building toward, one where the buying experience is delightful on whichever channel the rider picks.

It is also why he expects Ekho to keep absorbing the stack. Every tool the platform replaces is one less subscription and one less seam in the Jenga tower, until the thing running the storefront, the checkout, the titling and the showroom is the same thing. He sums up why EuroCycle moved first the way he sums up the dealership itself:

"EuroCycle has a mantra: we get there first. Ekho is the fulfillment of that promise for us."

Frequently asked questions

EuroCycle uses Ekho's transaction engine to power a complete online checkout on its website. Buyers anywhere in the country can select a motorcycle, apply for financing or pay in full, sign documents electronically, and have taxes, title, and registration handled for their home state — all without a phone call.

Yes. EuroCycle has been selling to out-of-state buyers for years — by 2019, nearly half its vehicles sold sight-unseen over the internet. Ekho's platform computes the correct taxes and fees for the buyer's home state and handles 50-state title and registration, so an interstate purchase works the same as a local one.

Ekho's transaction engine is the end-to-end vehicle commerce stack: online checkout, financing, F&I, document generation and e-signature, tax calculation, and 50-state titling and registration. It turns a dealership's website into a true sales channel rather than a lead-collection form.

The AI Sales Agent is an always-on chat experience trained on EuroCycle's live inventory across all locations. It answers questions about specific bikes, pricing, availability, and financing at any hour, qualifies buyers, routes questions to the right store and department, books appointments, and hands riders into the online checkout when they're ready to buy.

EuroCycle's first order arrived within minutes of the platform going live in early 2026. Since the February soft launch the dealership has placed more than $1M in order volume through Ekho, over $600K of it in the three months following site-wide launch, with completed online sales growing from roughly one a month to one a week.

Search results pages combine the dealer's full group inventory in one catalog with filters for condition, price, monthly payment, category and location, embedded soft-pull pre-qualification, and both a buy-now and an inquiry path on every listing. Vehicle detail pages add online availability, a shipping estimate and distance, the payment methods available on that specific unit, the taxes and registration fees a buyer should expect in their own state, F&I and aftermarket products explained in plain language, and similar units. Every page carries the required payment and financing disclaimers automatically, loads fast on mobile, and is structured for both search engines and AI assistants.

Yes — that's a core reason EuroCycle deployed it. Buyers across the country shop on their own schedule, and the agent engages them the moment they ask a question, even on nights and weekends. In one case it qualified an out-of-state buyer and booked a Monday finance appointment entirely over a weekend.
