“Ekho enables the kind of customer experience we’ve always envisioned: elegant, seamless, and scalable. With their platform, we can focus on building the world’s most compelling non-cars—and deliver a modern, fully compliant checkout experience that lives up to our product.”

About Infinite Machine

Infinite Machine is a New York-based OEM building the most advanced, desirable alternatives to cars—starting with P1, a modular, high-performance electric scooter designed for urban environments. The company’s mission is to reimagine mobility in a way that’s better for cities, people, and the planet. Backed by Andreessen Horowitz’s American Dynamism fund, Infinite Machine is shaping a new future of personal transportation.

Infinite Machine’s Goals

From the outset, Infinite Machine aimed to deliver more than just a great vehicle—they wanted to create a premium, digital-first purchase experience that matched the elegance and ambition of their product. That meant selling online from day one, collecting real preorder volume, and preparing to scale a nationwide rollout without sacrificing brand control or compliance.

Problem — High-Tech Product Meets Outdated Sales Infrastructure

With the launch of the P1, Infinite Machine faced a common yet complex set of challenges:

  • Preorder compliance: Collecting deposits on motor vehicles across state lines is heavily regulated—posing legal risks for OEMs without the right infrastructure.

  • Multiple buyer flows: Infinite Machine wanted to offer both standard $1,000 preorders and full $10,000 VIP reservations that include accessories and white-glove delivery—without creating operational chaos.

  • Tesla-like checkout expectations: Their customers expected a fast, modern checkout experience—including DMV, insurance, and financing support behind the scenes.

  • Demand intelligence: To refine marketing, brand strategy, and showroom planning, Infinite needed to know where real demand was coming from—and what was driving it.

  • Long-term consistency: Infinite Machine needed a sales infrastructure that could power not just online orders, but future showroom and in-person purchases as well—without fragmenting the buyer journey.

Solution — Ekho Access + a Path to Omni

Ekho’s Access platform enabled Infinite Machine to collect compliant preorders, configure advanced reservation flows, and understand their buyers—all while staying focused on product and brand. And as Infinite Machine’s physical footprint grows, Ekho will remain the centralized operating system for all sales activity—online, in-person, and everywhere in between.

Challenges Solved by Ekho:

  • Compliant preorder collection: Ekho allowed Infinite Machine to offer both standard and VIP preorder options, while staying compliant with state-by-state vehicle sales laws and avoiding ‘dealer-like’ activities that OEMs aren’t legally permitted to perform.

  • Digital-first, regulation-complete: Financing, DMV paperwork, and titling are baked into Ekho’s infrastructure—so Infinite Machine can deliver a premium checkout experience without building out ops teams in every state.

  • Data-rich demand mapping: With real customer data from across the U.S., Infinite Machine knows where to focus brand building, test ride events, and future showroom launches.

  • Attribution and iteration: Infinite Machine can tie sales back to specific campaigns, audiences, and channels—giving them a data advantage most OEMs never achieve.

  • Instant sales conversion: When production ramps up, the Ekho Admin Portal will allow Infinite Machine to instantly convert preorders into full sales with a single click—financing, titling, registration, and compliance included.

The Future — Unified Sales, On and Offline

As Infinite Machine grows, Ekho will power a hybrid sales model that spans both showroom and online environments. Whether a buyer places an order from their couch or after a test ride in a gallery, the experience will be consistent, compliant, and seamless. And for the limited inventory stocked in showrooms, Ekho’s Omni platform will sync that stock with Infinite Machine’s online store—letting each showroom capture more demand and close more sales.

This is the future Infinite envisions:

  • Fully digital sales infrastructure

  • Build-to-order workflows across all channels

  • A single, modern checkout experience powering a post-car world
