Where Ethan comes from
He was the founding PM at Hang, a restaurant loyalty and customer engagement platform. He started with a handful of customers and a half-built product, and grew it to hundreds of customers. He did the design work himself along the way, and eventually led both product and design.
Before Hang he was a product manager at Amazon.
What Ethan will do here
Ethan leads the product teams behind the Sales Agent and the Transaction Engine, which between them cover the whole path from a buyer's first question to a titled and registered vehicle.
Why it matters here
A founding PM role is not the same job as a PM role at a company that already has a product organisation. The work is deciding what to build with incomplete information, then doing whichever part of it nobody else is doing that week.
Ethan has done that from a half-built product to hundreds of customers once already.
