Where Ben comes from

Ben founded EVx, which helped large dealer groups, manufacturers and distributors figure out rebates and incentives. He comes to Ekho already knowing how manufacturers, dealer groups and their partners work with each other, and where their incentives differ.

Before EVx he was Head of Growth at Archetype, a venture-backed startup, and a sales manager at SEA Electric, where he closed $10.2M in sales of battery-electric commercial trucks to national fleets. He started out as an analyst at ADM Capital in Hong Kong, after studying economics and mathematics at Bates College.

How Ben found Ekho

A couple of years ago, Ben picked up the phone and called the Ekho team. That call turned into a couple of deals we worked on together, and we found creative ways to get them done. It was clear early on that working on the same team could be worth exploring, and this year we made it official.

What Ben will do here

Ben works with everyone who sells vehicles, from single-rooftop dealerships and large dealer groups to the manufacturers behind them. He brings them onto the AI Sales Agent, which answers buyers on the retailer's own website and over text, around the clock, and the Transaction Engine, which takes a deal from financing through titling and registration in all 50 states.

Why it matters here

Selling a vehicle online is mostly a rules problem. Every sale has to be financed, titled, registered and taxed correctly, and the rules change at every state line. Ben built a company on the same kind of problem, where a deal only pays out when the filing underneath it is right.

Welcome to the team, Ben.
