Ekho has teamed up with Progressive Insurance® to bring real-time insurance directly into the vehicle purchase flow. Buyers who need a new policy can get a personalized Progressive quote with coverage tiers and payment options without leaving checkout, and it is available to every dealer and OEM on the Ekho platform, and their retail customers, with nothing to configure.
The vehicle purchasing experience has come a long way. Buyers can browse inventory, configure their vehicle, get pre-qualified for financing, and sign documents, all from their phone or laptop.
But one step has remained stubbornly manual: insurance. Buyers who need a new policy still have to leave the purchase flow, shop for coverage separately, and come back with proof of insurance before the deal can move forward. That proof also has to hold up: coverage must meet state- and even county-specific requirements, as well as the policy minimums and requirements set by the lienholder. Ekho’s insurance logic engine already handles that validation, maintaining an automatically updated rules database and using AI to check every submitted policy against it. But finding the right policy in the first place still meant leaving checkout. It’s a gap in an otherwise increasingly digitized experience.
Today, we’re closing that gap. Ekho has teamed up with Progressive Insurance® to bring real-time insurance directly into the vehicle purchase flow. Embedded insurance at the point of sale is still rare across vehicle retail, and it’s now available to every dealer and OEM on the Ekho platform.

Why this matters
Many Ekho buyers are purchasing a vehicle for the first time. More than 40% of buyers who are required to provide proof of insurance don’t already have coverage for the vehicle they’re buying, according to Ekho’s internal data.
Until now, that meant stepping away from checkout to find a carrier, request a quote, compare options, and then return with documentation. Every step in that process adds time, friction, and the risk that the buyer doesn’t come back to complete the purchase.
With this integration, the insurance step happens inside the purchase flow, right alongside financing, registration, and protection products. The buyer never has to leave.
How it works
The experience is simple by design.
When a buyer reaches the insurance step during checkout, they’re presented with the option to get a Progressive quote alongside the option to provide their own existing coverage.
If the buyer chooses Progressive and their vehicle and state are supported, they typically receive a personalized quote within seconds, with coverage tiers and payment options tailored to their vehicle and location. The buyer can then review and purchase a policy on Progressive’s site, and in most cases the insurance documents are returned to Ekho automatically, completing the verification step without manual uploads. Where Progressive coverage isn’t available, buyers can provide their own insurance.
No uploads, no back-and-forth, no delays.

Why Progressive
Progressive’s coverage spans the full breadth of vehicles sold on the Ekho platform, from passenger cars and trucks to motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, golf carts, low-speed vehicles, and more.
That breadth matters. Rather than connecting buyers to a carrier that may or may not cover their vehicle, this integration provides relevant, real-time quotes for the vast majority of transactions on the platform. For the rare vehicle type or geography that Progressive doesn’t cover, the buyer can still provide their own insurance. No dead ends.
Progressive also brings brand recognition that helps at a critical moment in the purchase. Insurance can feel like a hurdle, especially for first-time buyers. Seeing a trusted, well-known carrier with a personalized quote ready to go reduces friction and keeps the purchase moving forward.
What this means for partners
For dealers and OEMs on the Ekho platform, this works out of the box. There’s nothing to configure, no new integration to manage, and no insurance license required.
The benefit is straightforward: a more complete purchasing experience for your buyers. Instead of the insurance step being a point where buyers pause or drop off, it becomes a natural part of the flow. Deals move faster, the buyer experience improves, and your team spends less time following up on insurance documentation.
For dealers and OEMs evaluating vehicle commerce platforms, this is one more reason the Ekho checkout experience stands apart. Insurance is now built in, alongside financing, F&I products, titling and registration, document execution, and shipping. A fully integrated transaction from start to finish.
A new standard for vehicle retail
Bringing insurance natively into the purchase removes one of the last manual steps in the buying experience, and it is now built into the Ekho checkout for every dealer and OEM on the platform.
It’s a capability buyers increasingly expect. As more OEMs and dealers move the purchase online, the experience needs to keep pace, and insurance was the missing piece. Now it’s built in.
